La Fortaleza de Santa Teresa is one of the most important tourist attractions of the place and visited by tourists who come to this prestigious resort. Built in 1762 by the Portuguese in order to provide Spanish attacks, leaving nearly in ruins after these events until the arrival of Horacio Arredondo in 1971, who not only commissioned the reconstruction of the fortress in 1928, if not giving initiated the formation of the park that now surrounds the fortress. The architecture of the park was based on British artists of the eighteenth century.
